Footprints In The Sand is part of a double A-Side release, with Better In Time. It also serves as this years Sport Relief single, a BBC aided fund-raiser that helps out various charities around the world.
The song itself is another 90's style pop ballad, showing off Leona's vocal ability, while remaining pretty lame on the lyrical & musical levels. Leona will be a superstar, but I wish it was for some real soulful material, rather than some mediocre, pre-written pop. In saying that, I have a soft spot for some 'lovey lovey' songs & I do like this one.
